Wolves have completed the signing of right-back Nelson Semedo from Barcelona in a deal worth around £29m.
A contract has been penned by the right wing-back that will keep him in Molineux until June 2023, with the option of extending it to June 2025.
The 26 years old Semedo has played 124 times for Barca and won 13 Portugal caps.
He arrives at the Nou Camp, where he is impressed by the La Liga and the Champions League, with ten big honours to his name and three seasons.
Semedo played for Barcelona 42 times last term, providing six assists. Scoring against Alaves on the last day of the season back in July.
Barcelona said the deal is an initial 30m euros (£27.61m) plus 10m euros “in variables”.
The third permanent signing by Wolves during this transfer window is Semedo, who has signed a deal until 2023.
I chose Wolves because it’s a very good team that plays very good football,” Semedo told the club’s website.
Last year they did a very good season and it’s a very important team in England, in also Europe. I hope this year we can do very good things.”
Nelson Semedo may make his Premier League debut against West Ham on Sunday.
